This article treats about new ways to help families of disabled children because social services don't give the enough support and help that those families requires. These complications have their basement of many studies focused on the complains of families that have a child with disabled conditions.

The studies conclude, for example, that the families wait long periods of time for a diagnosis for their children, and they also have to pay special services for their sons of their own pockets. The previous prompt serious problems in the families relations.

ASSIGNMENT 4: INTERESTING CAREER-RELATED TOPICS

What career-related subject or topic have you been working on or studying this term?

I have been interesting in the CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCOPATHOLOGY. This science study the problems in the development of the persons and the effects of the bad experiences during the childhood and adolescence too. For example, I have been studying terms like us autism, mental handicap, anorexia, depression, behavioral disorder, Asperguer syndrome, attention deficit and others topics.

I also have been reading about the development psycology in the case of the child.

This subject study how is the normal growth in the people in all phases of the life (child, adolescent, adult and ancient), according specific tasks, objectives and experiences. This matter also study the cognitive, behavioral, motor, affective, moral development in the people. When somebody present problems in this areas, he can be suffering an psycopathology.

ASSIGNMENT 3: YOUR WEEKEND

MY WEEKEND

What exciting thing did you do this past weekend?

This past weekend I talked with my family all the days!!! The Saturday, I interviewed to my father for to do a university work. Then, I corrected some test that I put my father. Then, I played with my dogs Pascual and Igor. In the night, I watched a movie with my brothers, and my mum cooked popcorn for us. It's was very funny!!!

The Sunday, I woke up with a strong pain in the stomach. My mam and my dad brought to me food, tea and medications to my bed...They cared me like a child!!! Then, when I began to feel weell, I played and worked any hours in the personal computer.

The Monday, I dedicated to rest all the day. I also ate a lot of food and I talked with my friends. In the night, I talked with my father about funny things, work and new projects.

MY CAREER

How did you become interested in your area of study?

When I was in the school, I liked the visual art and the literature, but I felt that the persons that studied this kind of career, they were very different from me in personality and style. So, I became interested in the health area, but the only career that I interested was the Occupational Therapy, because your point of view about the people is more humanist and large.


What motivates you to continue learning about your career?

I motivate that the therapist work in different and roomy areas (psychiatry or mental health, education, community, also others). I enjoy the practices, the work in group and the creative projects. I like the great future that have the therapist in the society, although the salary is lower than another professions. But, the most important, is that the Occupational Therapy see the occupations of the persons between their sense, mean and purpose.

I think that my friends would remind me different things that I did when I was in perfect happines.

For example, they would tell me about:

- the places that I visited

- the new persons that I met

- the parties that I went

- the money that I spent in clothes, food, parties, cars, music, cosmetics, presents and video games

- the hours that I slept after the parties

- the crazy things that I did

- the music concerts that I went

- the people who was envying me

- the fun situations that I happened

- and the persons who enjoyed me this year

What is something you should throw away, but can't? Explain.

I should throw away the drawings, the oil paintings and the collages that I make in the school, because they remind me negatives moments and situations.

If I throw away the art paintings, I don't think in the time, effort, energy and dedication that I put in the making of these works.

Also, I should throw away the books and photocopies of the different subjects of my career, because they take up a lot of space in my room.

I don't throw away this kind of papers, because are very important and necessary for my education and because are especially of Occupational Therapy.
